If you are considering commissioning a piece of art for the first time, it can be intimidating. But, it can also be a fun and collaborative experience! Commissioning a work of art can be great for both collectors and artists, if it is done right. As a collector, it is your chance to be a part of the creative process and bring to life something that you will connect with forever.

Each portrait will be quoted on an individual basis. Prices reflect the time and attention to detail. I will forward you a no obligation quote after viewing your requirements. This quote will be a guaranteed price that won't alter. All portraits are guaranteed to be a likeness to the subject. If you are not happy with the finished artwork I will refund you in full.
All work will be finished with an acid free mount and mounted on a sturdy backing board. Framing is not included.
Initially please contact me via the email address at the foot of this page stating your requirements, (remember to add your contact details). I will work from your reference photos so the clarity of the photos you choose make a significant difference to the final artwork, the clearer and more sharply focused the better. Portraits can be created from more than one photo.
A commission is a collaboration and your input is most important after all I am portraying somebody dear to you that I have never met! Only you know the character and essence of the subject matter, if you can capture that in your reference photos we are half way to a successful portrait. Once size and price have been agreed I will run up a number of thumbnail ideas. As work progresses I will forward regular work in progress images.
